My favorite color is green. When I was little, my favorite color was blue and I was afraid that it was a stupid color to be a favorite color for a girl until I saw 101 Dalmations and saw that Perdita's collar was blue and she was a girl. I love love love to read. I'm not very eloquent. My dad's side of the family is from the south, Arkansas to be specific. They are great people and I love them even though I don't get to see them enough. Arkansas is a beautiful place, and I love the smell. I have hair that some people call red, some people call brown (when it's my natural color, at least). I have FRECKLES. We have a love/hate (mostly hate) relationship. I believe you can have a strong moral compass without having religion. I wanted to be an author when I grew up. I am a Medical Laboratory Scientist. This means I analyse blood, other body fluids, DNA, etc. I get to use a microscope and a lab coat at work which I think it cool. I love my job. I don't know when it is grammatically correct to use affect vs. effect. I have a thing for dinosaurs and always have. My cousin used to share this Jurassic passion too (when we were little). He grew out of it but I didn't. When my sister was born I felt that I mentally connected with her and her favorite color was going to be yellow. She has never liked the color yellow. My grandma is my hero. I could and should write a post just for her. I love animals. I have one cat (Zoey), two gerbils (Squincy Mcgoo and Kokomo), and two parakeets (Parsley and Rosemary). Right now I feel like mostly a selfish person and would like to do more to give back to the community. I have social anxiety. I love to travel. I feel guilty often, sometimes for no reason, sometimes for stupid reasons, sometimes for valid reasons. I love my friends and family. I wish I had nurtured friendships of the past better so that they would still be around today. My husband means more to me than anything and I hope I show him that enough. We have a rule in our household that at the end of every day each of us says at least one good thing about the day and one thing we love about each other. It doesn't have to be profound. Sometimes that is the best thing about my day. Many people call me timid. I think that when I am comfortable I am the opposite of timid and sometimes quite obnoxious. I play Magic the Gathering and Warhammer 40K on the weekends and they make me happy. I am looking for more hobbies that I am passionate about. The thought that this blog is probably very boring for people other than myself just crossed my mind. Sorry about that. Right now I am enjoying this song:
I am on my 13th job, but my first career. I have been married for three years. I have always been awkward. I think I'm funny looking. I love new experiences.

Rules for my silly experiment

The older I get the more I discover about myself. And the more I find that I am always changing and growing. And the more I find that everyone is changing and (in most cases) growing. Still, I think I should know myself better. I want to learn who I was and who I am now. I want to track my progress and falters. This is my experiment. I will post things about myself, anything and everything I can think of, important or not, here. I'd appreciate it if all my friends, family, acquaintances, arch enemies, ghosts of the past, etc. would post comments about me, however random or not. There are a lot of things I can see about myself but I think there is even more that I can learn from what you see in me. Please, please do the same. Make your own silly little blog for this silly little experiment. Or don't. But I'd love to take this journey with friends by my side.
